I have been tossing up whether investing in an electric golf cart is worth it or not. I do enjoy walking the course but driving a cart makes it so much easier! I also find I play a lot better when my energy is conserved. Anyone else agree? Today I am basically writing my thoughts down while weighing up the pros and cons so if you are considering buying an electric golf cart then read on! I hope to make a final decision by the time I reach the end.

Here are the top 20 best toilets available in 2019 reviewed

Electric Golf Carts

These are small vehicles designed to fit 2 adults and your golf clubs in the back. There are many different models to choose from and they generally have top speeds of 15 mph. A standard golf cart measures 4 feet x 8 feet and 6 feet high. They weigh anywhere between 900 pounds and 1,000 pounds.

You can spend anywhere from $1,000 to well over $20,000USD on these carts. The top end golf carts also come with many other luxuries… Necessary or not they are still pretty cool. There are ones taht incorporate a windshield for the run, ball cleaners, cooler compartments as well as speed controls and lift kits.

Advantages of Electric Carts

  • Battery powered
  • Some have many cool features
  • Comfortably fit 2 adults and room for your clubs
  • Saviors when it comes to hilly terrain
  • Conserve energy
  • Fun to use

Disadvantages of Electric Golf Carts

  • High price
  • Transporting to the golf course
  • Maintenance

Golf Push Carts

These are manually powered and what I currently use. To be honest my current one is very easy, lightweight and feels like I’m pushing next to nothing around. I paid about $150 for mine and really do like it. They can be quite taxing on any course that isn’t flat..and there are a lot of those. I did list my golf push cart in my Must Have Accessories post earlier.

The extra health benefits you get from walking the course is pretty high but then again I am probably better off conserving my energy for the game itself.

Advantages of a Push Cart

  • Cheaper/more affordable
  • Great for flat courses
  • Many other features included as well
  • Easy to set up
  • Fits easily into your car
  • No need to charge them up
  • Safer

Disadvantages of a Push Cart

  • Have to walk the entire golf course
  • Uses up a lot of energy

Ok so now I’ve broken it down and I’m still unsure!! Has anyone out there got any experience with an electric golf cart that can help out?! I golf at least once a week so it definitely gets used. My biggest issue would be getting it to the course and back. I would need to also purchase a trailer to transport it. Any comments or help would be appreciated!
